Equality scheme

The Single Equality Act 2010 replaces 9 other Acts and 100 sets of regulations.  It brings together, harmonises and in some respects extends the current equality law and aims to make it more consistent, clearer and easier to follow.

All schools in England, Wales and Scotland, irrespective of how they are funded or managed, have obligations under the Equality Act 2010.

Each school has to publish information showing it is complying with the requirement (clause 149 of the Equality Act 2010) to have due regard for equalities.

Equality information and objectives policy 2017 is Newton Flotman’s Equality Scheme (draft 2017)
