2017 SATS results

We have always aimed to have at least 90% of children reaching age expectation (Level 2) in all subjects by 7 years old, and at least 50% of children exceeding age expectations (Level 4) by 11 years old. The new national assessment arrangements for 2016 led to significantly lower outcomes both for the school and nationally. The school’s results for 2017 are generally in line with or better than national.

Despite poor outcomes for reading at key stage 2, reading attainment and progress across the school is good in autumn 2017, with pupils in every year group exceeding 2017 national average of 71%. Nevertheless, the school has made significant investments for this year in library book loans, guided reading texts, phonics programmes and staff training.
